Vijaya Sharma

Head, Operations

Environment is her passion – and so are fresh ideas. And a media career spanning 20 years only helped Vijaya get a better handle of things. Having covered environment, developmental issues, health, and lifestyle in the formative years, she gained rich experience in how things can be solved – without much noise. She values her years at the Hindustan Times’s website — the launch of HTNext.com and HT’s UK Online Edition apart from playing a crucial role in the special projects team.

V. Mohan Rao

Senior Adviser, Public Affairs and Media

Invaluable experience, that’s what he brings to the table. A distinguished journalist with more than 35 years of experience, Mohan Rao always remained true to his profession, and instincts. Working with India's premier news agency Press Trust of India, he covered national politics and ministries under the Union government over many years, across locations. Later, he moved to fresh challenges — as Media Adviser (Public Affairs) and Head of the Department at one of India’s largest telecom service providers. But for him, journalism is beyond that.

A duty, a love perhaps. He moved on to freelancing, doing talk shows, commentaries and covering Parliament proceedings for All India Radio. But that’s only the beginning.

Rajesh Mahanty

Multimedia Design Consultant

Practical and receptive, Rajesh is a go-getter. Throw a challenge, he’ll make sure he is there to meet it — that is the way he likes it. Nearly 20 years as a multimedia design professional, across reputed organisations such as Hindustan Times, Bennett Coleman, ABP, Living Media and Dateline Media, taught him something he treasures — hard work pays, smart work pays better. After quitting his office desk in 2017, Rajesh started his own design studio and took up assignments for several government ministries such as the Union and West Bengal agriculture ministries and Prasar Bharati.

This apart, there were the corporates, educational institutions and NGOs with their own sets of requirements and challenges. Being a person who likes to be busy, Rajesh has other interests too. And he wants them counted as well. He is associated with a million-plus viewership YouTube channel and a dedicated magazine on renewable energy. Multifaceted he is.

Shitij Kohli

Head, Films

If words have the power to make you think, visuals have the power to make you believe. And Shitij figured that out early. His passion for filmmaking grew with that belief, and over the years. He made films for top brands such as Reebok, Adidas, Airtel, IBM, Ola Cabs and OYO Rooms among others as part of his job commitments. The experience goes beyond – he shot promotional campaigns for several central government ministries such as Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Ministry of Home Affairs. He believes in the future of visual storytelling and knows businesses grow with effective use of videos in marketing strategy.

He has led several multi-disciplinary teams of talented filmmakers and photographers, working on different projects.A keen observer, he believes in being engaged with life at multiple levels to be able to create something that connects with people. And outside the box ideas: he’s the first one to grab them when they come his way.

Atanu Moitra

Head, VFX and Animation

High seas, he loves them. For the challenges, and what he learned. And Atanu learned a lot. After 15 years of an action-packed life in the Indian Navy, which included multiple medals for outstanding service, you wouldn’t think otherwise. But for Atanu, there was more. As he moved on from the Navy, he moved closer to new challenges and his second love — technology. He ventured into film production, which involved picking lessons in Animation, VFX and Computer Graphics.

As in the Navy, Atanu made sure he is counted in his newchosen field. Some of the movies he was involved with were well-received at national and international film festivals. In 2019, his movie “Ya Devi” was nominated for Dada Saheb Phalke awards.
